Is Your Car Air Conditioning Not Cold Enough?
As the temperatures start to rise, one of the most frequent issues we see in our service center is car air conditioning not running cold enough. While it would be nice if there was just one simple answer as to what could be wrong, the fact is that there could be a variety of problems that are leading you to sweat it out behind the wheel.
Luckily for you, we at Bosak Honda Highland have technicians trained in the ins and outs of all modern vehicles—especially Honda models—and if you bring your not-cold-enough car to us, we’ll fix you up and put you back on the road as soon as possible. We even offer service specials to help you save money on maintenance just like this.
What Could Be Wrong
As we said, there could be a variety of problems with your vehicle that lead to poor cold air circulation from your air conditioner. Here are some common problems that we fix each and every year:
- Only cooling while driving—If your car isn’t cooling while idling, your A/C might be fine, you could just need your fan replaced. Of course, you could also have air conditioning issues, but this would just be our first guess.
- Not blowing any air—If you don’t feel any air circulation from your vents, not only is your fan likely in need of replacement, but there’s a good chance you have ventilation issues preventing fresh air from entering your vehicle from the outside.
- Only blowing hot air—Your fan’s in good shape but clearly it’s not cooling your vehicle. This could be from a refrigerant leak, a bad compressor, or a clogged orifice tube. Some of these are quick and cheap, others take time. We won’t know exactly what’s wrong until we get a look under the hood.
There are a variety of other air conditioning problems you could have in your car, and if you’re having trouble staying cool behind the wheel this summer, crank the windows down and head on over to Bosak Honda Highland, where we’ll fix you right up.
